Waves Crash 04:23
I watch the water as it rages in the sea A storm is brewing on the ocean like the one brewing in me The waves pound hard against the sand, the pulsing heartbeat of the earth And with each surging undulation there's a promise of rebirth I find the wisdom of the ages also fraught with past mistakes And yet we cling to it like misers unwilling to separate Truth or fiction, sage or fool, does not depend on what you feel It's time to wash away the fallacy and search for something real Let the waves crash down over me and Let them wash all my cares to the sea This is the place where I find home This is the place where I find god I find her coursing through the oceans Through my veigns and in my blood I can't keep burrying this voice that's so intent on dissillusion That just keeps telling me the world I see is mearly an illusion It's all just symbols given names to try to make it all make sense There is no past there is no future there is only present tense There is no value in this paper in my hand Someone just told me it was money That I should take all that I can And so it pains me to exchange it for the things I really need Because before we feed ourselves we're told its best to feed our greed Let the waves crash down over me and Let them wash all my cares to the sea This is the place where I find home This is the place where I find god I find her coursing through the oceans Through my veigns and in my blood Let the waves crash down over me and Let the sky share in the air that I breath Let me forget where I begin I am the sand beneath my feet I am the stone in every mountain I am the winds that move the sea

Can you feel it changing This could be our time Why should we be the ones to blame When we could be the ones who finally got it right The clouds are fading The sky is finally clear If we just look to where the light shines There's so much more we could see It only takes a moment to adjust to the light so Open up your mind and let the sun in Open up your mind and let it change the things inside If you wanna cease the moment that you Claimed that you were waiting for Open up your mind and let it shine I can feel it changing I can feel it in the air The air is clear that I am breathing From the east coast to LA We could run the world on sunshine Never harm the earth again No more poison in the oceans No more carving up the land We're coming awfully close to the point of no return so Open up your mind and let the sun in Open up your mind and let it change the things inside If you wanna cease the moment that you Claimed that you were waiting for Open up your mind and let it shine We've got the chance to turn this thing around Start looking to the sky and not the ground This could be our chance to make a change This could be our chance to see a brighter day Open up your mind and let the sun in Open up your mind and let it change the things inside If you wanna cease the moment that you Claimed that you were waiting for Open up your mind and let it shine

Be My Girl 02:40
I wanna see your face when I get home And if I call my house when I'm away I hope you pick up the phone But I promise that I'll do my best To make sure you're almost never there alone Yes I'm saying you should call my home your own And no matter where you go I hope you'll let me tag along I wanna hold your hand and see the world Right next to you is where I think I belong My heart is gonna follow you There's nothing you can change It's probably best If you'll just be my girl I wanna stay right by your side Until we're old and gray The choice is yours of course, I know But I sure hope that you will be my girl I want you to take my name for your own You'll always be my one and only And you can have me for your own I wanna be with you forever 'Cause with you forever never means too long My heart is gonna follow you There's nothing you can change It's probably best If you'll just be my girl I wanna stay right by your side Until we're old and gray The choice is yours of course, I know But I sure hope that you will be my girl

People try to put us down Just because we get around Things they do look awful cold I hope I die before I get old This is my generation Why don't you all just fade away Don't try to dig what we all say I'm not trying to 'cause some big sensation I'm just talkin' 'bout my generation This is my generation This is my generation Why don't you all just fade away And don't try to dig what we all say Things they do look awful cold I hope I die before I get old This is my generation This is my generation

I've seen you wander in To this dive with all your friends Every weekend now For I don't know how long And I've watched you through the haze And the lights up on the stage And it thrills me every time you sing along Well I tried to write a song that you could dance to Trouble is I just want you to dance with me And darling when you step out on that floor I wanna be right there beside you And when you climb into your bed You know I wanna be there too I've got a dollar for the jukebox Let someone else sing the song Can I have this dance and maybe the next one too I'm not sure why you come back I'm pretty sure it ain't my band We try hard but we know we're no Rolling Stones And even though I catch your eye And a smile once in a while It's too much to hope that's why you're at my show Well I'm not the kind of guy that you are used to But I'm hoping that you'll take a chance on me And darling when you step out on that floor I wanna be right there beside you And when you climb into your bed You know I wanna be there too I've got a dollar for the jukebox Let someone else sing the song Can I have this dance and maybe the next one too I've gotta get across the ocean Between this stage and that dance floor I'm sending messages in bottles with every song And I'm hoping that you'll find Just one bottle and reply Just send a bottle back my way care of the bar And I hope it says you feel the way that I do And I hope it says you wanna dance with me And darling when you step out on that floor I wanna be right there beside you And when you climb into your bed You know I wanna be there too I've got a dollar for the jukebox Let someone else sing the song Can I have this dance and maybe the next one too

Cuando la ames dile que vive en tus sueños Que no habrá ninguna mas que ella para ti Y cuando le entregues la promesa de tu amor eterno Sabrás si has amado tanto, Si has amado a una mujer de veras Y cuando le entregues la promesa de tu amor eterno Sabrás si has amado tanto Si has amado a una mujer de veras Cuando la ames, dile que vive en tus sueños Sabrás si has amado tanto Si has amado a una mujer de veras Sabrás si has amado tanto Si has amado a una mujer de veras

The Shade is much darker than it used to be The lights have all gone out There's no one here but me I'm not scared of the dark I'm just scared of the things I can't see Question marks stand out on every page But the questions make no sense And the answers they mean even less What's the purpose Is it true this is all just a test? Lines have been drawn and then crossed by the artists Just to keep their feet dry From tides rushing in from the shore Am I wasting my life away searching for answers Is the magic in the mystery Or are the answers the key To make life so much more It's a picture worth a thousand words in a language I don't read Should I be searching it for meaning or or just enjoy the masterpiece I find the composition moving And the imagery it speaks to my soul Does it matter if I never find the painters true intent Or if the painting was not planned at all but just an accident, It's beautiful regardless, And in the end maybe that's what it's is for I'm not scared of the dark just scared of the things I can't see
